Peter P. Konyha of Port Washington, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was 91 years old. Peter was born in Onondaga, New York on September 8, 1926 to John and Irma (nee Toth) Konyha.
Peter was honorably discharged from the United States Army after having served for a couple of years. After the service, Peter returned to school and attended college at Michigan State University obtaining a degree in Engineering. He married Louise Fowler on August 30, 1952 in Michigan. Peter was a dedicated employee for many years at Simplicity Manufacturing and later worked for various other companies before retiring in December 1999.
Peter is survived by his wife Louise, daughters Carol Jackson, Linda Klemp and Janet Konyha, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother Ralph Konyha and sisters Lucille, Katie, Charlotte. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers and 1 sister.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 West Grand Avenue Port Washington, Wisconsin 53074 at 6:00 PM with military honors to follow. Chaplain Steve Cornelius will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. A private interment will be held the following day at Holden East Cemetery in Port Washington.
