Mr. Pedro Bustamante of Fredonia, formerly of Brown Deer and Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the age of 77. Pedro was born in Zapata, TX on November 4, 1940, son of Pedro Sr. and Irma Ramirez Bustamante. Following his schooling, Pedro enlisted in the US Army where he trained as an artilleryman at Fort Sheridan, IL. After the service he moved to Wisconsin; Pedro was united in marriage with Christine Metzger and the couple moved to Fredonia in 1983.
Mr. Bustamante worked as a service technician at Coke Cola, mainly at the Brown Deer plant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cars, however spending time at his property up north in Winter, WI, was his favorite pastime.
He is survived by his children Antonio (Sarah) Bustamante of Texas, Brandon (Michelle) Bustamante, Laura (Mark) Pantle and Jordan (Kristen) Bustamante, all of Fredonia, Lora (Pat) Hanley of Brookfield, Mark (Stephanie Knop) Bustamante of West Bend and David Bustamante of Milwaukee. He is further survived by 19 grandchildren: Ethan, Maya, Antonio Jr., Tallon, Colton, Brianna, Boston, Trinity, Hannah, Mitchell, Mason, Sienna, Becca, Cheyenne, Ashley, Ryan, Tyler, Sadie and Quintin. Other survivors include brother Miguel (Angelica) Bustamante, sisters Maria Hilda (Charlie) Love, San Juana Irma (Michael) Starr, and Veronica (Arturo) Perez, step-brother Jonathan (Virginia) Dillard and aunt Olga Ramirez de Canales, all of Texas, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Christine, his parents, and brothers Manuel Javier Bustamante and Lauro Alberto Bustamante.
A memorial service will be held at 5PM on Friday, May 25, at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg (1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg), with Rev. Linda Westphal-Buth presiding. The family will receive visitors at the FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 3-5PM.
