Paul R. Ponfil Mr. Paul Ponfil of Cedarburg formerly of Crivitz passed away Tuesday evening March 19 2013 at his home. He was 83 years old. Paul was born October 2 1929 in Crivitz the son of Anton and Mary Porfilio Ponfil. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 29 1953 he was united in marriage with Jean Lohff in Crivitz. She preceded him in death on June 11 2001. Paul was a founder and partner of R R Excavating and Bulldozing and in business for 55 years. Some of R R's contributions to Ozaukee County include Rotary Park MATC Concordia along with many subdivisions and roadways. Paul was dedicated to his career and passionate about the work he did. When he wasn't working he enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. Paul is survived by his children Scott (Jean) of Grafton and Melissa (Roger) Bardo of Manitowoc and grandchildren Jamie Raess and Cody Sheveland. He is further survived by his sisters: Helen Franzen Louise Sprouse and Donna Martens all of Crivitz Aggie Witak of Peshtigo and Vi Dart of Green Bay sister-in-law Lynda Ponfil of Port Washington special friends Bill and Jane Frederick of Oak Creek nieces nephews and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean parents Anton and Mary Ponfil and brother Ronald Ponfil. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30AM on Friday March 22 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30-11:30. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Cedarburg Davita Dialysis.
