Obituary

Paul W. McNally, formerly of Fredonia (Little Kohler) passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 77 years old.

Paul was born on January 18, 1947, in Spokane, Washington to the late Paul and Mary (Moran) McNally. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967-1971.

Paul was always on the go. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, hunting, and canoe trips to the Boundary Waters. He was passionate about his role as a long-time leader in the Boy Scouts of America. In later years he participated in French and Indian War reenactments as a surveyor and was often at events giving demonstrations to the public and school groups.

He was active in his churchs parishes St. Mary's- Little Kohler, St. Rose- Fredonia, and Divine Savior Holy Cross- Belgium where he enjoyed teaching CCD and reading and offering communion at Mass.

Paul was an animal lover. He and his wife Judy operated a cattery for purebred Norwegian Forest Cats and volunteered for TICA- The International Cat Association. They also had a cat rescue as they both had a knack for attracting strays.

He retired from selling insurance and investments at MetLife in 2012.

He is survived by his children Colleen (Troy) Jakubowski and Ryan McNally (Melinda Somogyi), his grandson Cameron Jakubowski (Miranda Kobs), his brothers John McNally, Keith (Linda) McNally and sisters Diane Welsh (Jim Dew), Kathy Karbon as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judith, his son Shawn and his granddaughter Morgan Jakubowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 6,2025 at Divine Savior Parish- Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 County Road B, Belgium. The family will greet friends and relatives at the CHURCH from 1:00 PM until the time of mass.

The family would like to thank Village of Manor Park and St. Croix hospice for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's name may be made to Wisconsin Humane Society or Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha or Alzheimer's Association.
