IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul E.
Harvey
August 31, 1935 – January 8, 2024
Paul E. Harvey went to his heavenly home on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was 88 years old. His was a well-lived life. Paul was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 31, 1935, to parents Earle and Adelaide (Karp) Harvey. He graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in Illinois and completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Notre Dame in 1958. Paul received his master's in business administration from Loyola University Chicago.
Paul was united in marriage with Helene Gross on June 20, 1959, and together they raised four children. Paul loved the woods and waters of Michigan's Upper Peninsula where his parents had a fishing cabin. He built his own riverfront summer house on the Menominee River in the early 1970s with architectural plans he drew and designed. Among his children there was no greater delight than to be chosen to go fishing with Dad, floating down the river, casting, and occasionally chatting. He took in stride his kids' errant casts that left lures dangling from tree branches, which he would work to free. A good lesson in patience. In his children, Paul instilled a love of family, respect for personal responsibility, an admiration for education and work ethic, and an appreciation of meaningful, silent communication. Paul was a man of few, but significant, words.
After securing his MBA, Paul was the Chief Operations Officer for Bunker Ramo Amphenol, then a Fortune 500 Company. Paul oversaw the company's global operations in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Paul visited all 50 U.S. states and more than 50 countries, many with his wife, Helene. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Notre Dame fan.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Helene, children Kathleen (Tom) Jensen, Joseph (Terry) Harvey, Diane (Joseph) Jolie, and Julie (John) Mossberg. He is also survived by his grandchildren Peter (Maura), Dan, Anna, Nich, Grace, and George, his brother James Harvey, and many other family and friends. Paul is preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, January 15, 2024, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Paul will be laid to rest at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.
