Paul Henry Engel, age 87, of Cascade, WI, passed away peacefully on November 27th. Paul was born on December 10th, 1936, in Milwaukee to Henry and Evelyn (Dutkiewicz) Engel. In his early years, he lived in the St. Anthony Parish district of Milwaukee's south side with many family members in close vicinity. He attended Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee and spent many summers in Gillett with his cousins on the Korpal family farm. Paul served in the US Army Reserve for 6 years, completing basic training in1959 at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and then was assigned to the 757th Transportation Battalion (Railway) in Milwaukee. Paul married Carol O'Hara in 1961 in Milwaukee, and together, they raised 5 children. In 1972, Paul moved his family from Waukesha to a small farm near West Bend. Paul retired from the US Post Office in 1992 after 30 years of service as a letter carrier at the Fred John Station in Wauwatosa. Paul retired to his home in the Kettle Moraine soon after. In his free time, Paul was an avid fisherman, a hunter and he enjoyed visiting with family & friends. Paul especially enjoyed spending his days with his Boston Terriers, Herbe and Duke.
Paul is survived and dearly missed by: his children Mark (Tracy) Engel, Bruce (Pilar) Engel, Beth (Hap) Carlson, William Engel, and Mary (Steve) Becker, two sisters Kate (Frank) Hausknecht and Mary Engel, 4 grandchildren Sarah (Patrick) Stobb, Aday Engel, Max Engel, and Jessie Engel, and great-grandson Blaine Stobb
