Obituary

Paul A. Tadych Jr. nbsp; Mr. Paul Tadych of County Road KW in Cedar Grove passed away unexpectedly at his house on Monday morning May 24 2010. He was 71 years old. Paul was born April 23 1939 in Manitowoc the son of Paul and Marie Close Tadych. After graduation he attended UW Stevens Point and UW Oshkosh where he studied Geography Art and Education. On June 7 1969 he was united in marriage with Marilyn Filut in Vesper WI. She preceded him in death in 2002. Paul was an elementary school art teacher with the Port Washington school district for 30 years.nbsp;nbsp; nbsp; Mr. Tadych was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Paul was very active with numerous aspects of the Lionrsquo;s Club; he served as District Governor for District 27-B1 a Representative with the Wisconsin Lions Foundation for six years and a member of the cabinet since 1983. During his 3+ terms as President he served as chairman on the Sight Committee and was instrumental in getting the Diabetes Program started in Wisconsin. Mr. Tadych was very dedicated to the children he taught and served as a Local Education Association Representative.nbsp; In his spare time he enjoyed fishing ice fishing and hunting. nbsp; Paul is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard (Lorene Seaman) Filut of Madison Jean Filut of Appleton Alene (Jerry) Jacobson of Pittsville Charlotte Filut of Scandinavia and Suzanne (Peter Jensen) Filut of Rio WI. He is further survived by 2 nieces and a nephew: Susan (John) Dondlinger of Manitowoc Shelly Moffatt of Green Bay and Tony (Lisa) Grajek of Manitowoc other nieces and nephews great-nieces and nephews many special caregivers neighbors and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and his sister Rosemarie Grajek. nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3PM on Friday May 28 2010 at Our Lady of the Lakes Parishnbsp; St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. Paul will be laid to rest beside his wife in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Friday from 12 noon ndash; 3PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Lions Club.
