Patrick W. Nelson Patrick Pat Nelson age 63 years old of Port Washington died Tuesday evening January 22 2013 at his residence. He was born June 23 1949 in Port Washington son of the late George and Irene Lorge Nelson. Pat was a 1967 graduate of Port Washington High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. While serving as a Military Police guard he was assigned to Presidential detail at the California residence of President Nixon. After returning home he worked at Cook Composites Polymers in Saukville until retiring in 2011. He was a Lifetime Member of Van Ells-Schanen American Legion in Port Washington the Leathernecks Club the Marine Corps League and UAW Local 1548. He was a longtime Boy Scout leader for troop 837 and also served as assistant district commissioner for Bay Lakes Council. Survivors include his children Scott (Erika) Nelson of Simpsonville SC and Stacie Nelson of Port Washington his grandson Reed Haas of Port Washington his sister Diane Schlueter of Port Washington special friend Amy Zagar nieces nephews great nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Monday evening January 28 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Disabled Veterans Fish Outing appreciated.
