Patrick Machtel of Port Washington, formerly of Milwaukee and Racine, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old.

Pat was born in Milwaukee on March 17, 1943, the son of Henry and Agripine (nee Skibinski) Machtel. He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Milwaukee Boys Technical High School with the class of 1962. Pat became a machine builder and repairman and worked for the Master Lock Company in Milwaukee for 30 years.

On September 26, 1964, he married Mary Diesch at St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

He was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local #469. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was very proud of his tomatoes, Dahlias, and his hot banana peppers.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife Mary, and his loving daughter Sue (Scott) Penkivech. He is further survived by two grandchildren: Andi and Cassidy, his nephews Ed and Bill and his niece Patti, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Agripine.

In accordance with Pat's wishes, private family services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
