Obituary

Patrick J. Baggot Mr. Patrick Baggot of Port Washington formerly of Cedar Grove passed away Wednesday morning July 31 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was 81 years old. Patrick was born in New Haven WI on January 7 1932 the son of Leo and Agatha Mullowney Baggot. After high school Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. On January 21 1956 he was united in marriage with Verita Fisher at Sacred Heart Church in Reedsburg. The couple started their family in Platteville before moving to Cedar Grove. In 1966 Patrick earned a Masters degree in Arts from Northern Michigan University. For over 25 years Patrick worked at Cedar Grove High School where he was a physical education teacher and later Principal. He enjoyed teaching and coaching football. Patrick was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. He enjoyed traveling reading and outdoor activities especially biking and hiking. Above all he loved being with his family. Patrick is survived by his wife Verita of Port Washington and their three sons: John (Joyce) of Anchorage AK Daniel (Shelley) of Cape Coral FL and Joseph (Lynn) of Northfield MN. He is further survived by 5 grandchildren: Tierney (Mike) Joe (Rachel) Ashley Allison and Gabe 1 great-granddaughter Daphnie 2 sisters: Lucille (James) Kelly of Menomonee Falls and Margaret (Mark) Dadd of Attica NY brother-in-law Ray Thering of Reedsburg and sisters-in-law: Lois Baggot of Madison Carol Baggot and Karen Baggot both of Wisconsin Dells Patricia (Jack) Emery and Sharon Owens both of Madison and Janet (Kermit) Bekkum of Lac de Flambeau numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: James Dave Edward and Tim. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Tuesday August 6 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington. He will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon-1:00 PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be serving the family.
