Obituary

Mrs. Patsy Meyer formerly of Belgium passed away Friday morning February 14 2014 at her home at Emerald Ridge Assisted Living in Hartford. She was 82 years old. Patsy was born July 2 1931 in the Town of Belgium the daughter of Peter and Martha Lorge Anzia. On October 2 1954 she was united in marriage with Melvin Meyer at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. He preceded her in death in 1988. For over 30 years Patsy worked as a shoe finisher at Allen Edmonds in Port Washington. Patsy had previously been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church and most recently attended St. Kilian Parish in Hartford. She enjoyed baking ceramics and spending time with her family friends and dog Jasmine. She will be remembered by many as the honorary Grandma of Boy Scout Troop 741 Hartford. Patsy is survived by her sons Steve (Darlene) Meyer of Sheboygan and Daniel (Jane) Meyer of Hartford. She is further survived by grandchildren: Patrick (Jackie) Meyer Stephanie Dean Drew (Jessica Heimermann) Meyer Curt (Jamie) VanDeKreeke Craig (Diana) VanDeKreeke Todd (Noelle) VanDeKreeke Matthew Meyer David Meyer Matthew Friedemann and Mitchell Friedemann 12 great-grandchildren her brother Marvin (Lois) Anzia of Port Washington sister Vange Gosewehr of Saukville sister-in-law Dolores Kultgen of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Melvin daughter-in-law Chrysa Meyer sister Virginia (Arthur) Buechler and two brothers Harvey and Alvin (Leona) Anzia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday February 22 2014 at St. Kilian Catholic Church 428 Forest St. in Hartford. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday morning from 9-10:30AM. Patsy will be laid to rest at a later date at St. Mary Parish Cemetery Lake Church beside her husband Melvin. The family would like to thank the staff of Emerald Ridge Assisted Living for their loving care and Seasons Hospice for their compassionate assistance. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to your local humane society in Patsy's and her dog Jasmine's names.
