Patricia "Patty" Murphy, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 62 years old.

She was born on January 13, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, IA, to her parents James and Rosemary (nee Maiers) Neuses. Growing up in Dubuque, IA, Patricia had a vibrant and joyful childhood. She later moved to Mason City, IA, where she graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 1979. Her thirst for knowledge led her to the University of Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1984. She further pursued her education at St. Louis University, where she obtained a Masters of Hospital Administration in 1986.

On February 7, 1987, Patty married the love of her life, Timothy Murphy, in Champaign, IL. Their love brought them to various cities, including Toledo, OH, and the greater Milwaukee area, until they finally settled in the quaint and welcoming community of Cedarburg.

Throughout her career, Patty dedicated her expertise to serving southeastern Wisconsin hospitals in administrative roles. She retired in 2021, having left behind a legacy of professionalism and commitment.

Patty was a member of the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. She found immense joy in baking, gardening, delving into the pages of her favorite books, and crafting homemade Christmas cards. Her passionate spirit also extended to cheering on her beloved Iowa Hawkeyes, as she supported them with unwavering loyalty.

Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Murphy, and her two children Megan (Dustin) Murphy and Matthew (Sam) Murphy. She will be dearly missed by her parents, James and Rosemary Neuses, her siblings Carrie (Bob) Ahern, Laure (Tim) Schreck, Mike (Cathy) Neuses, Joanie (Greg) Blaney, Julie (Paul) Dietmann, and Lisa (Wendell) Holdman, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will take place at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, with visitation from 11 AM to 12 noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, and a luncheon at the church starting at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
