Patricia Ann (Mulhern) Kirkpatrick, of Cedarburg, entered into Eternal Life on May 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of 62 years to Raymond and loving mother to Lisa (Kurt) Weisman. Grandmother to Sydney Weisman, Stacie (Chris) Zeman, Kory (Rachel) Weisman and great grandmother to Chase and Cade Zeman and Charlotte and Gabe Weisman. Sister to Mary DeAngelo and Ann (Steve) Waller. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Wanda (Kirkpatrick) Schull Hudson as well as nieces, nephews and very special friends and neighbors. Waiting to welcome her in Heaven are her father, Thomas Mulhern, mother Violet (Mulhern) Brown, infant sister Ellen Frances, infant twin sons, brother Michael, brother-in-law Ronald DeAngelo and brother-in-law Thomas Hudson.
Born March 12, 1942, Patricia graduated from Montello High School (where her daughter also attended some 20 years later). She attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, received her bachelor's degree in education and moved to Madison where, while working in the Sears Credit Department, she met Ray Kirkpatrick (she denied him credit, but that did not deter him). They married at St. John’s Catholic Church in Montello on April 25, 1964. After Ray’s Air Force discharge in 1965, they moved to Hyattsville and then Laurel, MD where their daughter, Lisa, was born. Patricia began her teaching career in the Maryland Catholic schools, before moving back to Montello in 1975. She then taught 7 & 8th grade at St. John’s Catholic School in Princeton until the family moved to Cedarburg in 1984. Patricia received her master’s degree in 1991 as a reading specialist from Cardinal Stritch University. She finished out her thirty-year teaching career at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington before retiring in 2006.
Patricia was an avid reader and liked most genres of books. She enjoyed spending time with the cats and dogs who came through her and Ray’s lives, keeping the flowers in her yard looking like a nursery and baking pies and treats for Ray (and occasionally sharing with others). There wasn’t a Cedarburg festival she didn’t enjoy! She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and their families and especially loved being a doting gramma.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Taylor, Al and the staff Lilly Hospice as well as Keesha, Sierra, Camesha, Riley, Deja and Jamara and the staff at LakeHouse for their compassionate care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30PM on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg (1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI 53012). Visitation will be from 3PM until time of the service at 5:30PM.
In lieu of flowers or memorials please send donations to the Tom Mulhern Scholarship for Sports Journalism at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
