Oslash;YVIND B. HANSENnbsp;nbsp; ldquo;Ervrdquo; Mr. Erv Hansen of Towhee Trail in the Town of Port Washington passed away peacefully Tuesday evening December 21 2010 surrounded by his family at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.nbsp; He was 82 years old.nbsp; Oyvind was born in Oslo Norway on December 11 1928 son of Erling and Alma J. Berger Hansen.nbsp; In Norway Oyvind served in the Kingrsquo;s Guard and was also a member of Bekkelaget Sport Klub where he was an avid runner and excelled in competitive orienteering.nbsp; On October 22 1955 he was united in marriage with Ellen Jensen in Oslo.nbsp; The couple moved to the United States later that year.nbsp; He earned an MBA from the University of Chicagonbsp;and raisednbsp;his family in Lombard IL where he worked as a management consultant. They later moved to Brown Deer and Erv worked for Allen Bradley. Erv and Ellen moved to Port Washington in 1991. nbsp;In his retirement Mr. Hansen enjoyed drivingnbsp;for Johnson School Bus Company.nbsp;nbsp;Erv was very involved with the West Allis Speed Skating Club the Wisconsin Speednbsp;Skating Association and various orienteering activities.nbsp; He loved winter sports the outdoors and travel. Oyvind is survived by his wife Ellen their five children: Paal (Betsy) Hansen of Lakewood Jan (Susan) Hansen of Cedarburg Rolf (Penny) Hansen of Beaver Dam Anne Hansen of Brookfield and Mona (Dave) Queoff of Fitchburg.nbsp; He is further survived by 9 grandchildren: Erik Steven Kirsten Christopher Elisabeth Jan Erik Kristian Emma and Sam brother-in-law Roger (Kari) Jensen niece Kristine Jensen cousin Kjell (Reidun) Bjerknaelig;s all of Oslonbsp;other relatives in Norway and many friends.nbsp; Private services will be held at a later date.nbsp; Memorials are suggested to www.righttoplay.com nbsp;in Ervrsquo;s name.nbsp; The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.nbsp; Online condolences can be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
