Olga Senn, of Oshkosh, formerly of Port Washington, passed away into the arms of her Savior in the morning hours of May 19, 2018. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91.
Olga was born on December 29, 1926 in Ridgeville Corners, OH, daughter of Theodore Ripke and Meta Sunderman Ripke. On June 15, 1952, she married Arthur Senn in Ridgeville Corners. Arthur, a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod pastor, soon took a calling in Arlington, TX, where the couple started their life in ministry together. Following Texas, they served congregations in Wauseon, OH, Ottawa, Canada, and various congregations in the South Wisconsin District, including Fredonia, Manitowoc, Neshkoro, Princeton, Hancock, Ripon, and Wild Rose. As the pastor's wife, Olga was involved in many ladies organizations, as well as church secretary, organist and emotional support for her husband. Just as important, she was a loving mom to her five children, as well as a doting grandma and great-grandma.
Olga is survived by her husband Arthur of Oshkosh, her five children: Katherine (Robert) Stuyck of Rockford, IL, Ruth (Richard) Pappas of Battle Ground, WA, Michael "Mick" (Mary) Senn of Fond du Lac, Vivian (Craig) Mittelstaedt of Oshkosh, and Judith (John) Behlke of Oak Creek. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings: Clara Werling, Edwin Ripke, Carl Ripke, Ernst Ripke and Arnold Ripke.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24th, at 11 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia. Rev. Robert Zick will preside over the service. She will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery, Fredonia. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd from 4-7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, and on Thursday, at the CHURCH from 10-11 AM.
