Esther Viola Olive Maechtle, of Waubeka, WI, passed into eternal life in the morning hours of Friday, April 1, 2016 at Care-Age in Brookfield. She was 90 years old. Esther was born in the Town of Fredonia on April 24, 1925, the youngest of eight children to Herman Heilgendorf and Bertha Parlow Heilgendorf. Esther was raised on the family farm on Highway I in the Town of Fredonia and went to school at St. John Lutheran School, a one room school house. She is survived by sons Paul (Barbara) Maechtle of Bradenton, FL and Alan (Linda) Maechtle of Waukesha, daughter Rita (Richard) Geilfuss of Trevor, son-in-law Joseph Henkle of Springfield, IL, grandchildren Tom (Cassie) Vassallo, Jodi (Dan) Ferber, Matt (Laureen) Vassallo, Ben, Sarah & Laura Henkle, Trisha (Andrew) Hollander, Tyler (fiancé Amanda Ewert) Maechtle, and Joshua and Elizabeth Geilfuss; great grandchildren Tommy, Robby, Michael, Taylor, Danny, Rilyn, Jaxson, Madison, and Oscar. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Hilda Heilgendorf of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends.
