Obituary

Norman Lewis Christensen, fiercely loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was called to his heavenly home on May 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in Portland, Maine, on February 3, 1938, he was the oldest child of Christian “Cris” and Mildred “Millie” (nee Thomson) Christensen.

Norman married his high school sweetheart, Marcia (nee Burke), and together they built a wonderful life with their four daughters, filled with many treasured memories. In October 2025, the couple would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Norman said he felt like they already had. He missed her so much.

Norman will be long remembered by brother David (Nyla) Christensen, sister Ruth (aka Cris) Kelley, daughters Beth (Scott) Propp, Carol (Rudy) Paul, Sara (Drew) Cramer, and son-in-law Gregg Koeppen; grandchildren Jaime (Jon) Lubner, Steve (Steph) Propp, Shelley (Paul AJ) Baillargeon, Lauren Navarro, Kylie (Nicholas) Consalvo, Gabriella

Paul, Reagan (Tyler) Pipp, Chloe Cramer, Cooper Cramer and Rebekah Cramer; and

11 great-grandchildren (Addie, Lucy, Connor, Ellie, Jack, Harrison, Wes, Jay, Emma, Levi, and another great grandson due any day). He is further survived by other loving nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Mildred (nee Thomson), wife Marcia (nee Burke) Christensen and daughter, Lisa Koeppen.

Ever striving, Norman worked alongside Marcia, building a business he never retired from. Persuasive and always able to close the deal, he loved the business they successfully grew.

He and Marcia traveled extensively over the years serving as ambassadors in philanthropic roles. One of his greatest joys was serving as chairman of The Midwest Shrine Game for nine years and caring for the Shrine Game queens with Marcia. Norman was most passionate, however, about the work they did together for the Children's Dyslexia Center of Greater Milwaukee.

A private service will be held to celebrate his life and legacy later this year. Norman will be laid to rest at Lakefield Cemetery, Grafton.

Memorials are welcome to the Children's Dyslexia Center of Greater Milwaukee, P.O.
