Mrs. Nora Jean Reif, of Saukville, passed away Sunday morning, January 3, 2016 at Harbor Club in Port Washington. She was 90 years old. Jean was born June 14, 1925 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Howard and Emma Loeffler Livermore. On November 15, 1944, she was united in marriage with Melvin Reif in Oconto. Jean and Melvin contributed to the inception of Portal Industries, where Jean worked as a secretary for many years. Jean was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. Jean was a charter member of the Saukville American Legion Auxiliary, to which she belonged for 70 years. She had worked the elections in Saukville for many years, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Jean also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and proudly created afghans for each of her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Daniel Reif of Wabeno, Nancy (Rick) Kwiatkowski of Franklin and Mary (Jeff) Olson of West Bend. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren: Teri (Rick) Hayes, Jamie, Bob, Rick and Jackie Reif, Jessica (Curt) Pearson, Cortney (Josh) Borden and Cameron Olson, 8 great-grandchildren: McKenna, Khiah, Isaiah, Hailey, Cole, Cade, Colton and Lilian, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Melvin and her daughter Sharon Reif. A Memorial Mass will be held at 6PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 145 W. Church St. in Saukville. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 4:30PM – 6PM. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Saukville this spring beside her husband Melvin In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Portal Industries. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
