It is with profound heartbreak, we announce the unexpected passing of Nicholas Timothy Rickert, age 33, who left this world on November 17, 2025. Nick was born on July 24, 1992, in West Bend WI.

Nicholas was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend whose warm presence and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Nicholas grew up in West Bend and Oak Creek and graduated from Wisconsin University High School with the class of 2009.

Nicholas had a deep love for sports and proudly cheered for the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, and Bucks. He was known for his sense of humor and was always a jokester someone who could make people laugh even on their hardest days.

With his big heart and outgoing spirit, Nick formed numerous friendships throughout his life, and those who knew him will forever remember his smile and the joy he brought into every room.

Above all, his greatest joy in life was being a dad and spending his time with his 2 children and his family. He treasured every moment with them, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.

Nicholas is survived by his mother Jean Heinzelmann (Scott Zimmermann), his dad Daniel A. (Sherry) Rickert, and his children Alaina Rickert and her mother Erika, and Nicholas Jacobs and his mother Brooke. He is further survived by his brother Daniel C. (Abigail) Rickert, his grandmother Diana Abelt, his grandfather Jim Heimann, his special friend Tiffany, and Dan and Kathi Dvoran, who were like parents to him. He is also loved and remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a great number of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Larry Abelt Sr., grandmother Mary Heimann, and his grandfather Donald Rickert.

A service to honor Nicholas' life will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton at a later date. The family welcomes all who loved him to join in celebrating his memory.
