Obituary

Nell C. Eichner Mrs. Nell Eichner of Cedarburg and formerly of the Town of Grafton passed away Wednesday morning July 8 2015 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 89 years old. Nell was born September 27 1925 in Richmond VA the daughter of Jesse and Helen (nee Cunningham) Davis. She graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1943. On September 6 1952 she was united in marriage with Robert Eichner at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa. He preceded her in death in 1991. In the late 1940's Nell worked at the Journal Sentinel as a page and later worked as an activities aide at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg for over 10 years. Nell was a charter member of St. Boniface Episcopal Church where she was very active with the alter guild taught Sunday school and coordinated St. Nick's yearly visit. Nell was a social and friendly person whose family was her main focus. She loved being a mom and would take the kids on school field trips and to the pool when they were young. She was an avid reader engaged and curious and always wanting to learn. She was generous and charitable loved to sing and will be remembered for her home cooking especially her bread and cinnamon rolls. Nell is survived by her children: Paula (Steve) Courville of Bourbonnais IL Ellen (Rick) Allison of Eau Claire Elizabeth (David) Livingston of Nashua IA Robert (Keri) Eichner of Waubeka and James (Kimberly) Eichner of Seattle WA. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way brothers Roger (Nancy) Davis of Aspen CO Paul (Catherine) Davis of Sullivan sister Janet (Frank) Bailey of Santa Barbara CA sister-in-law Sylvia (the late Tom) Eichner of Oshkosh nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband Robert granddaughter Molly Allison and sister Mary (David) Hullinger. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 11 2015 at St. Boniface Episcopal Church 3906 W. Mequon Rd in Mequon. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 9-11AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Boniface Church Neighborhood House of Milwaukee or Family Sharing of Grafton. The Eernisse Funeral Home Cedarburg is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
