Nathan Lee Cannon of Port Washington passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was 78. Nate was born the beloved son of Leonard and Alice Cannon on July 21, 1947, in Ohio. Nate married Christine Menge on June 25, 1994.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Master Lock in Milwaukee after 38 years of dedicated service. Nate enjoyed tinkering around with his 1971 Nova and was known for his Christmas light displays throughout the years. When he wasn’t working on his car, you could find him in his workshop building and designing.
Nate’s memory will be cherished by those who knew him best. He is survived by his wife Christine; children Alyson (fiancé Steve) Cannon, Dawn Suchecki and Jason (Sweet) Suchecki; grandchildren Carley, Devin (Rita), and Preston; 5 great-granddaughters; sister Nancy Everhart and her spouse; Four-legged companion Roscoe, other relatives and friends.
Please join Nathan's family for a celebration of his life on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at The Engine Room, 102 E. Pier St., Port Washington from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Nathan will be laid to rest privately.
