NANCY J. PURDY Nancy Purdy age 74 years of Port Washington died Tuesday Feb. 26 2008 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. She was born October 8 1933 in Port Washington daughter of Peter and Violet Gross Amberg. On December 6 1952 she married James Purdy at Friedens Church in Port Washington. Nancy was formerly employed by Smith Brothers Restaurant and the Port Hotel. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Church where she was active in Friedens Women's Ministry Quilt Ministry and Gray Matters Ministry. She is survived by her husband James three children Linda (Fred) Thies of Newburg James Mike Purdy of Milwaukee and Kevin (Heather) Purdy of Burlington nine grandchildren seven great grandchildren and her sister Violet Sis (Ken) Straka of Lansing IL. She was preceded in death by two brothers Lyle and Ralph Amberg. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1 11:30 at Friedens Evangelical Church Port Washington. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Memorials to Friedens Church or Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation Angels for Autism appreciated.
