Alois F. Peiffer Mr. Al Peiffer of Harbor Club in Port Washington passed away early Saturday July 12 2008 at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee Campus. He was 95 years old. Al was born June 18 1913 in Holy Cross son of John and Rose Wester Peiffer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the mid 1940rsquo;s. In 1954 Al was united in marriage with Eleanore Schweda at Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium. Eleanore preceded him in death in 1990. Mr. Peiffer ran his own business Peiffer Printing and Advertising where he sold advertising specialties. He was also widely known throughout Ozaukee County as Uncle Ezra a lively standup comedian. Mr. Peiffer was a member of St. Peterrsquo;s Catholic Church as well as the Port Washington American Legion Post 82. Al enjoyed dancing to polka music playing the harmonica and spending family time with his granddaughters. Al is survived by one son Bob (Cindy) Peiffer of Port Washington and two granddaughters Katie and Lindsay Peiffer also of Port Washington. He is further survived by his very special friend Lucille Bria of Fredonia three sisters: Sally Lehman of Fort Atkinson Hildegarde Bremser of Cedarburg and Evelyn Goedde of Port Washington two sisters-in-law: Hattie Peiffer of Saukville and Mamie Peiffer of Cedarburg nieces nephews other relatives and many many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Tuesday July 15th at St. Peterrsquo;s Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday July 15th at the CHURCH from 4-6PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Alrsquo;s name are appreciated to the Port Catholic School Luxembourg American Cultural Center or a memorial of choice.
