MILDRED M. MATTHES Millie Mildred Matthes age 86 years of S. Garfield Ave. Port Washington died Wednesday February 7 2007 at Port Haven Group Home in Port Washington with her daughter Susie at her side. She was born November 25 1920 in Milwaukee daughter of Edwin and Lydia Borchardt Behrens. She married Martin Kreiter who preceded her in death in 1965. She married Earl Matthes on November 27 1971 in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 2001. Millie worked for many years as a school bus driver for Marquardt Bus Co. in Cedarburg. She was a member of Grand Ave. United Methodist Church in Port Washington and enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her cats Sam (deceased) and Sadie. She is survived by her daughter Susie (fiance Mike Chier) Kreiter of Milwaukee one nephew Robert (Joanne) Behrens of Waubeka two nieces Gail Roberts of West Bend and Paula Behrens of Grafton her special friend Dwight Miller of Port Washington great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother Lester Behrens and one niece Beverly Luebbe. Funeral Friday February 9 4 PM at Grand Ave. United Methodist Church in Port Washington with Pastor David Guse officiating. Burial in Valhalla Memorial Gardens Milwaukee. Visitation at the CHURCH Friday from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Ozaukee Humane Society appreciated.
