Mildred M. Schmit Mildred Schmit age 92 years formerly of Fredonia passed away Tuesday February 12 2013 at Harbor Club in Port Washington. She was born April 10 1920 in Grafton the daughter of Bernard Schreiner and Martha VandeBoom. On April 14 1941 she was united in marriage with Vincent Schmit at St. Rose of Lima Church in Fredonia. He preceded her in death in 2010. Mildred was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Fredonia and St. Joseph's Parish in Grafton. She will be remembered as a wonderful loving person whose life revolved around God and her family. Mildred is survived by her four sons: Lee (Judy) Schmit of Grafton Peter (Joan) Schmit of Flushing MI Michael MJ (Nancy) Schmit of Fredonia and Harold (Nancy) Schmit of Peach Tree City GA 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and one on the way. She is further survived by step-brother Jim (Marilyn) Foley of AZ sister-in-law Marie Mueller of Whitefish Bay other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday February 16 11 AM at Divine Savior Parish St. Rose Chapel 311 Fredonia Ave. in Fredonia. Father James Ernster will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation at the CHURCH Saturday from 9-11 AM. Memorials to VITAS Hospice appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
