IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michelle Lynn
Henning
December 29, 1968 – January 30, 2025
Michelle Lynn Henning, a beloved and joyful spirit, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the age of 56 at her home in Port Washington, WI. Born on December 29, 1968, in Bay City, MI, to Terrence and Patricia (Rosolowski) Henning, Michelle brought boundless love, laughter, music and dancing into the lives of everyone she knew.
Michelle's favorite things were a testament to her vibrant and playful nature. She had an undeniable passion for music, especially the timeless tunes of Prince and Madonna. "Purple Rain" and "Vogue" were her anthems, and she delighted in playing her toy guitar and keyboard, filling the room with melodies and joy. Michelle loved playing cards, especially with her cherished Aunt Florence and Aunt Margie, where laughter and fun were always guaranteed.
A true fan of Minnie Mouse, Michelle adored collecting jewelry that sparkled as brightly as her personality. Her family, especially her siblings, nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart, and she brought immense joy to their lives. Michelle's belly laughs at Snapchat filters were infectious, spreading happiness to everyone around her.
One of Michelle's favorite activities was going out to eat, where she savored not just the food but the company and socialization. Her zest for life was evident in every moment, and she had a unique ability to bring joy to everyone she met.
Michelle loved her time at North Bay Center when she lived in Michigan, where she thrived in socializing, participating in life-enriching activities, and volunteering around the community. Her cognitive disability could be seen by some as unfortunate, but to her loved ones, it was a cherished part of who she was. Michelle was a wise teacher who showed us how to enjoy the simple things in life, laugh as much as we can, and show love to all humans and animals alike.
Michelle will forever live in the hearts of her mother, Patricia "Patsy," her sister, Melissa (Rick) Henning-Frank, her brother, Jeff (Andrea) Henning, and her adored nieces and nephews Kylee, Kaycee, Nick, Matt, Alex, and Oliver, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Terrence.
Michelle's energy and joy will live on in the memories of those who loved her. She was and always will be a cherished gift to everyone fortunate enough to have known her. A celebration of life will take place later this year in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Special Olympics in Michelle's memory. Your generosity will honor her legacy and support a cause that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
