IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Henry
Scholler
May 11, 1943 – December 23, 2024
Michael Henry Scholler, age 81, of Random Lake, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. Born on May 11, 1943 to Lorenz and Ione Scholler. Mike was a lifelong resident of Random Lake and a cherished member of the community.
Mike attended St. Mary's grade school, graduated from Random Lake High School in 1961, and later earned his degree as a General Auto Mechanic in 1963 from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN. He worked for 17 years at Rhode Bros and 21 years at Times Printing in maintenance.
In his early years, Mike was passionate about racing, working on race cars for Mueller Bros Racing. He was also an avid snowmobiler, muskie fisherman, and enjoyed spending time on the water, from Random Lake to Eagle River. Mike was a member of Between the Lakes Chapter of Muskie Inc. and a dedicated supporter of youth fishing, having earned the Youth Educator of the Year award from the Sheboygan County Conservation Association.
Mike was known for his love of fishing, especially muskie fishing, and was deeply involved with the Random Lake Historical Society. He was a frequent contributor of fishing articles to The Sounder and loved hearing others' fishing stories.
He is survived by his two sons, Steven (Carrie) and Matthew (Rachel) Scholler, as well as his grandchildren, Hayden, Abigail, and Rylee, step-grandchildren Keith and Josef D'Amato. Mike also shared his life with his partner Linda Orth and embraced her family as his own. He was a second father to Linda's children, David (Jody) Orth, Michelle (Michael) Rusch, and Megan (Glenn) Grisolono, and a proud grandfather to Linda's grandchildren John and Katie Orth, Sam, Matthew, and Ella Rusch, Brooklyn and Kingston Grisolono.
A lifelong member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Mike is preceded in death by his Sister, Ethel Scholler, and is survived by his beloved family, including his four best friends, Jerry Mueller, Tom Schmitz, Ted Scharl, and his cousin Jimmy Scholler. He also always looked forward to monthly poker games with his old hunting buddies.
Mike was a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Milwaukee Brewers. His grandparents, Henry and Flora Scholler, and Michael and Alma Kellner, along with the community of Random Lake, played a special role in his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Random Lake Historical Society or Sharon Richardson Hospice in Mike's name. Better yet, honor his memory by taking a child fishing—something Mike loved to do, as he spent much of his life sharing the joy of fishing with others.
A Funeral Service for Mike will be held at 6pm on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N Royal Ave., Belgium, WI 53004. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00pm. Mike will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery, Random Lake.
The family would like to express special thanks to Amie Wilson, Kristen Schmitz, and the staff at Cedar Grove Gardens and Sharon Richardson Hospice for their compassionate care.
Mike's legacy will live on in the stories he told, the lives he touched, and the many fishing trips shared with friends and family. He will be dearly missed.
