Michael "Mike", P. Ryan, passed away with his loving wife and family by his side on Monday, October 3, 2016. Mike was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on December 22, 1954 to James and Marguerite (nee Symmonds) Ryan.
Mike was an avid Pink Floyd fan, lottery ticket player, Grinch and 49's fan. The Brewers and Boston Bruins were two other teams he enjoyed watching as well. He could be found fishing on the boat named Three Stooges and bowling, but also enjoyed a good game of golf with his family. Above all, Mike was a family man who treasured the time he spent with his family and would often spend time on the back patio drinking coffee and talking with his wife Shirley, who he referred to as "Sweets". Mike's granddaughters were his princesses and he also shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews. Mike was a proud veteran of the Navy having served his country from 1974-1978. Engaging in political debates with family was something Mike was passionate about.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Shirley (nee Laatsch) Ryan, two sons: Michael Patrick (Kellie) Ryan Jr. and Craig James (Erika) Ryan, granddaughters: Loxley Violet, Leianna and soon to be born, Mikala (named after her grandpa), brothers: Jim (Caroline) Ryan, Kevin (Diana) Ryan, Charlie (Gail) Ryan, and Darin (Stacey) Ryan, sisters: Kathy (Tom) Bradford and Colleen (Jim) Roberts, siblings-in-law: Myrna Laatsch, Donnie Laatsch, Eugene (Bette) Laatsch, Eileen (Jerry) Yearling, Merle Laatsch, Karen Radtke, Ruth (Ed) Boomer, Carolyn (Wally) Landvatter and Leon (Chris) Laatsch and special Aunt Shirley Faidley.
