Michael Rutta, a kind, gentle, intelligent and funny man, left this world too soon, during the evening hours of Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his residence at Golden Harbor in Sheboygan. He was 54 years old.

Mike was born in Milwaukee on December 16, 1969, the son of Chet Wies and Karen Moore Tomalak. He grew up in Fredonia and attended Ozaukee High School. After high school, Mike attended culinary school in Fond du Lac. He was a chef for many years at the Sheboygan Yacht Club.

In his spare time, Mike enjoyed art and music, playing both the drums and guitar. He cared very deeply for all his friends at his home at Golden Harbor in Sheboygan. He also loved wildlife and enjoyed feeding the birds and animals around his home.

Mike leaves behind his mother Karen (Jerry Schrank) Tomalak of Fredonia, his sister Jamey (Melissa) Bergeron of Cupertino, CA, his daughter Krystle Wren of Jackson, and his granddaughter Lily. He is further survived by his aunt and uncle Sherry and Rick Wilson, many cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Shannon Tomalak and his grandparents Wally and Rose Moore.

In accordance with Mike's wishes, private family services will be held.
