Michael J. Heritsch, "Budweiser Mike," passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, August 29 in a tragic accident while he was Up North - one of his most beloved places in the world. He was 68-years-old, born on September 4, 1952 in Milwaukee, son to Paul and Audrey Heritsch, brother to Robert "Bob" Heritsch (Sandra), Jackolyn "Jackie" Bowers (Ronald), Paul Joseph "PJ" Heritsch (Patricia) and David Heritsch (Pam).
On April 21,1984, Mike married Toni Lemmer in Milwaukee and they later settled in Greenfield in their easily recognizable brick home with beautiful gardening right off the freeway which welcomes many honks as friends and family drive by.
Together, they raised three beautiful daughters, Amy, Megan and Kelly - all of which live in the Milwaukee area. Mike also recently became a grandfather to sweet baby Isla (4 months old) who he adored.
Mike's professional life had consisted of countless entrepreneurial endeavors including being a top salesman for Budweiser, co-owning the bar Mugshots in Walker's Point, co-owning R.B Products carpentry business, selling infinite items on Ebay and, of course, selling a wide variety of items at all sorts of fairs and shows around the country alongside his daughter Megan.
His favorite days of "work" were, of course, not work at all. It was in the field hunting with his English Setter dogs, hunting buddies, father, brother, nephews, daughter Amy and son-in-law Ryan. Mike had been an avid hunter of several types of game since he was a young boy and this is where he was truly his happiest.
Mike had such a love for dogs, big and small, that between his house and his daughters' houses, there have been a total of 16 dogs and 10 total litters of English Setter puppies in the family.
He loved a few simple things in life like his pool being a very warm temperature, wearing 3 layers of sweaters all year round, lots and lots of chocolate, smoking cigars, paying in cash for everything, telling fish stories, voice to texting all of his messages, proudly walking with his arms around his daughters, driving his truck around for hours on end with his beautiful wife Toni looking for wildlife and talking about life, spending time Up North with his family and friends as well as a good 11AM lunch date.
Mike, Michael, Budweiser Mike, Daddy, husband, Grandpa also known as "The Man," brother, uncle, friend - you will be missed beyond measure and we pray you are at peace alongside your parents and the long line of hunting dogs who preceded you.
A Celebration of Mike's memorable life will take place on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club, S36 W29657 Wern Way in Waukesha. If you would like, please bring a photo of you and Mike or just Mike to add to a memory book for the Heritsch family.
