Michael H. Schneider Mr. Mike Schneider of Random Lake passed away Tuesday morning September 20 2011 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls after a short illness. He was 88 years old. Mike was born June 30 1923 in the town of Fredonia son of Michael and Annie Kultgen Schneider. On October 6 1945 he was united in marriage with LaVerne Jacoby at St. Mary Lake Church. She preceded him in death in 2005. The couple farmed in the town of Fredonia from 1958-1974 and then Mike worked as a press operator at Badger Tag and Label until 1988. Mike was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. He enjoyed gardening fishing playing cards and the companionship of many dogs over the years. Mike is survived by five children: Robert J. (Barbara) of Williams Bay Gerald (Marydonna) of San Dimas CA Virginia (Gary) Held of Batavia Gary (Mary) of Belgium and Jane (Charles Steitz) Schneider of Okinawa Japan. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren sister Alice Jacoby of Random Lake sister-in-law Barbara Schommer of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife LaVerne infant daughter Diane brother Joseph Schneider and sisters Irene Mueller and Mildred Jacoby. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30PM on Sunday September 25 at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Nicholas ChapelW4274 Hwy K Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. He will be laid to rest beside LaVerne at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Sunday from 4-6:30. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank Gables on the Pond for their compassionate and loving care of Mike over the last 6 years as well as Sharon S.
