Mr. Mike Godersky of Port Washington passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. He was 64 years old. Mike was born in Port Washington on August 23, 1953, son of James and LaVerne Schultz Godersky. He attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School before attending Marquette University. Mr. Godersky worked as a production planning manager at Milwaukee Electric Tools for 15 years before accepting a position at Vilter Corporation. He retired in 2006 due to health issues. On August 16, 1991 Michael was united in marriage with Ingrid Tapola in West Bend. The couple found an apartment in Port Washington, later buying a home together. In his younger years, Mike was a passionate bowler, participating in the Amateur Bowlers Tour and many leagues, and earning numerous trophies. He was very proud of the 300 game that he had bowled in 2009. He was also a former member of the Port Washington Fire Department. Mike loved to watch football; it didn't matter if it was high school, college or pro, he was always up for the game, especially with his favorite fur-baby, Nitschke. Mike is survived by his wife Ingrid of Port Washington and three children: Jason (Heather) Godersky of Grafton, Julie Lipperd and Jamie (Nikkole) Godersky, both of Indiana. He is further survived by five grandchildren: Hailey Godersky of Grafton, Alison & Charles Lipperd and Liam & Jude Godersky, all of Indiana, sister Kim (Paul) Voeller of Port Washington, nephew JJ Buczek, also of Port Washington, mother-in-law Olita Tapola of Germantown, sister-in-law Julie (Mike) Schodron, also of Germantown, his dog Nitschke, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents James & LaVerne, father-in-law Eino Tapola, and nephew Tyler Buczek. At Mike's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
