Obituary

MAXCINE R. HEINEN Mrs. Maxcine Heinen of Stanford Street in Port Washington passed away Monday December 23 2013 at Anita's Garden in Port Washington where she had been residing for the last few months. She was 78 years old. Max was born in Menno SD on May 27 1935 daughter of John and Renata Weigt Riemert. The family moved to Port Washington while she was a small child. Max graduated from Port Washington high School with the Class of 1954 and began working as a stenographer in the shipping department at Simplicity. On November 18 1967 she was united in marriage with Gerald Bud Heinen at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Fredonia. The couple settled into the house on Stanford Street and started their family. Through out the years Max had worked at the Port Washington School System as a lunch room and playground aide. Mrs. Heinen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. She enjoyed crocheting and had taught the skill at both MATC and at local classes through the Ben Franklin store on Franklin Street. She and Bud enjoyed camping and traveling in their camper and fishing for perch. Max is survived by her husband Bud and their two sons Patrick Heinen and Jayson (Barbara) Heinen all of Port Washington. She is further survived by three grandchildren: Brittany Brandon and Brianna Heinen brother Elison Butch (Agnes) Riemert also of Port Washington sister Marilyn (the late George) Reiss of Plymouth brothers-in-law Dale Bruening of Grafton and Tom Kauth of McFarland nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents 3 brothers: Donald Bernie and Eli Riemert and 6 sisters: Elaine Riemert Phyllis Perry Hildegarde Weymouth Naomi Paulson Cornelia Kauth and Lucille Bruening. Funeral services will be held at 6PM on Friday December 27th at St. John's Lutheran Church 217 Freeman Drive in Port Washington. Pastor John Klieve will preside. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Friday from 3-6PM. Memorials are suggested in her name to Bethesda Lutheran Home or the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Anita's Garden and at Serenity Hospice for their compassionate care.
