IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary L.
Taylor
October 3, 1940 – November 5, 2023
Mrs. Mary Taylor of Port Washington passed away at Ascension Columbia - St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the age of 83.
Mary was born in Wisconsin Rapids on October 3, 1940, daughter of Leonard and Leona Leiser Link. She attended local schools and graduated from Assumption High School, Class of 1957.
On May 12, 1962, Mary was united in marriage with Paul Taylor at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The couple settled in Wautoma and began their family. They moved to their home on Montgomery Street in Port Washington in the late 1960's.
Mrs. Taylor worked as a medical secretary at St. Alphonsus Hospital, and later at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Washington and Mequon. Mary retired with over 40 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, Mary did the alterations for Saeger's Menswear in downtown Port.
Mary was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and later St. John XXIII Parish. For several years she helped with funeral luncheons and other activities as part of the Christian Women. Mary enjoyed sewing and crafting, but she was all about family. She and Paul could often be found attending activities for their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, even if it meant heading out of state.
Those left to cherish Mary's memory include her husband Paul, children Jeff (Debbie) Taylor of Grafton and Amy (Dennis) Donfris of Cary, IL, six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mary is further survived by three brothers: Huntz (Marilyn) Link, Fritz (Agie) Link and Paul (Dee Dee) Link, brother-in-law Ray Wolosek, all of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by one brother, John Link, and four sisters: Betty Wolosek, Marjorie Lyman, Caroline Olson, and June (the late Bob) Greeneway.
Funeral Services will be held at 12PM on Saturday, November 11th, at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:30AM until services begin at 12 noon. Mary will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington, following the service.
