Obituary

MARY L. SMITHERS Mrs. Mary Smithers of 1st St. in Cedar Grove passed away at her home early Wednesday afternoon November 4 2004 after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was 64 years old. Mary was born on November 1 1940 in Antigo daughter of Lester and Imogene Tatro Waldvogel. On June 3 1967 she was united in marriage with James Smithers at St. Philips Catholic Church in Green Bay. The couple moved to Cedar Grove and Mary started her own beauty salon Mary Smither's Salon operating first in Port Washington and then from her residence in Cedar Grove. Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Nicholas Chapel Dacada. She enjoyed traveling doing various crafts and needlepoint. She is survived by her husband Jim of Cedar Grove 2 daughters Kim Smithers of Port Washington and Sally (Jeffrey) Prahl of Cedar Grove her mother Imogene Waldvogel of Phlox WI and 2 brothers: Richard (Rosie) Waldvogel of Markesan and Philip (Debbie) Waldvogel of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by 2 sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Fred) Chris of Fond du Lac and Catherine (Mervin Dee) Bowden of Topeka KS nieces nephews great-nieces great-nephews other relatives and many many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday November 9th at 6PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Nicholas Chapel Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will officiate. Inurnment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH Tuesday from 4-6PM. Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium is assisting the family with arrangements.
