Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lou Johnson of Fredonia passed away at her home in the Town of Fredonia early Monday morning, December 17, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old. Mary Lou was born on May 21, 1952, daughter of Robert and Evelyn Sudbrink Schuh. She grew up in Cedarburg, graduating from Cedarburg High School, Class of 1970. On June 19, 1971 she was united in marriage with Keith Johnson at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. The couple lived in Cedarburg, Grafton and Saukville before settling in Fredonia and raising their family. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia, where she participated in the St. John Ruth Guild as well as being a member of LWML where she had served as secretary and president. Mary Lou enjoyed gardening and canning, and had served as a 4-H Leader, especially helping with the Hog Project. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan, and a huge supporter of the Waubeka Fire Department; her husband, son, daughter and both sons-in-law serving on the department ensured she was very involved with the department. Mary Lou also enjoyed a good game of sheepshead. Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Keith, their daughters Jodie (Craig) Falk of West Bend and Julie (Matthew) Caswell of Fredonia and 7 grandchildren: Brady, Mason, Caleb and Riley Falk, Alyssa, Evan and Olivia Caswell. She is further survived by sister Nancy Thompson of Waukesha, brother Thomas (Karmon) Schuh of Port Washington, sisters-in-law Bonnie (William) Prahl of Mequon, Sherri (Mark) Ketelsen of West Allis, Karin (Steve) Jackson of West Bend and Paula (Tim) Duffy of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her son Jeremy. Funeral Services will take place at 2PM on Friday, December 21st at St. John's Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia. She will be laid to rest in St. John Cemetery following the service. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 20th at the Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington) from 5:30-7:30 PM and again on Friday at church from 12PM until services at 2PM. Memorials, if desired, are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church and Daycare. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
