Mary Jane Fellenz Mary Jane Fellenz of Port Washington formerly of Saukville passed away on Sunday March 20 2011 at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Hospital in Mequon surrounded by her loving family.nbsp; She was 86 years old.nbsp; Mary Jane was born in Chicago IL on November 1 1924 daughter of Belgian immigrants Julian and Octavie Janssens Vanden Bosch .nbsp; She was the first of her family born in the United States.nbsp; Mary Jane attended school in the Chicago area and in 1944 got accepted into the US Cadet Nurse Corps.nbsp; She graduated in 1946 from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac as a Registered Nurse.nbsp; While she was in nursing school she took a fancy to her roommatersquo;s brother Frank Fellenz from Saukville.nbsp; The couples hit the road and were married at the Church of the Little Flower in Billings MT on May 6 1947.nbsp; Frank and Mary Jane moved back to the area.nbsp; She worked as a RN at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington and then at Lasata Nursing Home in Cedarburg until her retirement.nbsp; She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville as well as a former member of the Christian Mothers.nbsp; Mary Jane was a cancer survivor and helped with the American Cancer Society with many area fund drives for over 20 years.nbsp; She had a lovely soprano voice and loved to serenade the Vets at the V.A. Hospital in Hines IL during the 1940rsquo;s.nbsp; Later she made a recording with a young budding composer by the name of Joey Zingsheim.nbsp; She also enjoyed cooking gardening and playing cards.nbsp; Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 63 years Frank of Port Washington her four children; Bruce (Perm) Fellenz of Merrill Julie (Timothy Neal) Fellenz of Madison Joseph (Cindy) Fellenz of Fredonia and Phil Fellenz of Port Washington.nbsp; She is further survived by four grandchildren nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by two children Mark and James Patrick Fellenz and her sister Regina Reh.nbsp; A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 26th at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville with Father Tom Lijewski officiating.nbsp; She will be laid to rest in St. Maryrsquo;s cemetery in Saukville.nbsp; Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Saturday March 26th from 10-11 AM.nbsp; The Fellenz family wishes to thank Horizon Hospice and Dr. Raymond Bauer for their compassionate care.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to Horizon Hospice.nbsp; The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.nbsp; Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.comnbsp; br /Service:br /pspan style=\A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 26th at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville /span/pbr /Cemetery:br /pSt. Mary's Cemetery Saukville/p
