Obituary

Mary M. Gottsacker Mary Gottsacker age 83 years formerly of Sheboygan and Saukville passed away in the early morning hours of Friday March 31 2006 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg where she had been a resident for about a year. Mary was born in Plymouth on May 7 1922 daughter of the late Paul and Annie Biskobing Gruenke. On May 26 1951 she married Clem Gottsacker at St. Peter Claver church in Sheboygan. She worked as an Inspector at J.L. French Co. in Sheboygan until her retirement in 1984. Mary and Clem enjoyed their life together and rarely did things separately. They were on bowling teams and always enjoyed going to costume parties. Clem preceded her in death in 1992. For a time Mary lived at Belgium Gardens. She loved the place and made many friends there. They tought her how to play Sheepshead even though she was a confirmed Cribbage player. Mrs. Gottsacker's joy in life was cooking and baking. Mary always had plenty of food when friends or family came to visit and her famous line when they getting ready to go home was take it along meaning anything that was left they were welcome to. She was a member of the National Catholic Order of Foresters for over 54 years. After moving to Saukville Mary became very active in Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville and was very proud to light the candles in chapel during weekday Mass. Mary is survived by her three children: Sons Clemens (Joan) Gottsacker of Belgium Jeffrey (Cathy) Gottsacker of Cambridge and daughter Jennifer (Paul) Utecht of Saukville. She is further survived by seven grandchildren her sister Marcella Gottsacker of Sheboygan nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents husband two sisters and two brothers. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 8 2006 at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 145 Church St. in Saukville with Father Karl Acker officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Saukville. Friends may call at the church on Saturday the 8th form 10-11 AM.
