Mary Czarnecki, of Port Washington, formerly of Whitefish Bay, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, October 7, 2019 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 95 years old. Mary was born in Milwaukee, daughter of Anthony Jarumbo and Frances Rick Jarumbo. She grew up in Milwaukee where she attended high school, until the war effort and her father's death forced her to leave school to work at a bakery. On October 5, 1946 she married Edward "Eddie" Czarnecki at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 2017. After marriage, she worked many years at Western Leather Co. Mrs. Czarnecki was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish in Whitefish Bay. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Mary and Eddie enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas, NV and Scottsdale, AZ. Mary is survived by her two grandsons Craig (Carol) Czarnecki of Port Washington and Scott Czarnecki of Green Bay. She is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Betty (the late John) Jarumbo of The Lakes, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, son Dennis, three brothers: John, Leo (the late Alice), and Edward (the late Genevieve) Jarumbo and three sisters: Sally (the late Joseph) Troka, Angeline (the late Boniface) Balsewicz and Helen (the late Archie) Murray. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12th at 12 Noon at St. John XXIII Parish St. Peter of Alcantara Church, Port Washington. Father Pat Wendt will preside over the Mass. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee.
