Mary Susan Cassidy, “Susie”, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, entered into eternal life, surrounded by family, on April 7, 2026. She was 85 years old. Born in Appleton, WI on October 10, 1940, Susie was the daughter of Vincent and Evelyn LeCapitaine.

She was raised in Appleton, and graduated with a Nursing Degree from Alverno College. Susie met her husband and best friend, George, in Milwaukee and were married on January 30th, 1965.

They raised five children: Erin, Kasey, Patrick, Michael and Meghan. Susie “Gigi” adored her six grandchildren and loved hearing about each of their achievements.

She had many passions in life, an infectious laugh, and an unmatched ability to engage in conversation. She kept her childrenhttps://www.crs.org/ informed of all current family events with an emphasis on her grandchildren that she loved so dearly. She made fast friends with everyone she met and will be greatly missed.

A avid sports fan, she had what all would agree is a unique loyalty to Wisconsin and Illinois teams - a legacy from the time she spent living in both states. Cubs/Brewers, Bears/Packers and Bulls/Bucks, truly a one-of-a-kind sports fan.

She is survived by her loving husband, George; her children Erin (Jeff), Kasey (Andrea), Patrick, Michael (Maggie) and Meghan; her grandchildren Eli, Noah, Connor, Katie, Hudson and Felix; sister Mary (Steve) Evans, brothers Jim, John (Jessica), Mark (Alex) and Peter (Laurie), many dear family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Evelyn, and her sister Joni.

Per her wishes, a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Catholic Charities.
