Obituary

Marvin A. Hennings nbsp; Marvin Armond Hennings longtime Grafton resident passed away on Tuesday March 22 at the age of 90 after a valiant fight against cancer.nbsp; He was born in Roscoe South Dakota the son of Armond and Ida (Leissring) Hennings.nbsp;nbsp; Marvin was a graduate of Grafton High School and Marquette University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.nbsp; He was a member of Tau Beta Phi honorary engineering fraternity.nbsp; Early in his career Marvin worked for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego CA followed by a one year period in the Navy (1945-1946).nbsp;nbsp; Subsequently he was in management for Mercury Marine in Cedarburg and Fond Du Lac for 35 years.nbsp; His final management position was as plant manager of the assembly plant.nbsp; nbsp; Marvin was blessed with three wonderful wives through his lifetime.nbsp; In 1947 he married Dorothy Lindner from Cedarburg and together they had two sons Kevin (Cathy Jamrog) and Kim (Lynn).nbsp; Dorothy died in 1967.nbsp;nbsp; In 1968 Marvin marriednbsp; Beraldine (Kreuger) Jensen.nbsp; The family grew with Beralrsquo;s two children ndash; Richard (Patti) Jensen and Sandy (David) Anderson.nbsp; Beraldine passed away in 2005.nbsp; Marvin then met Elaine Kortenhof and married her in 2007.nbsp; The family grew again with the addition of Elainersquo;s two children - Shelby Kortenhof (Andy Struck) and Sharon Kortenhof.nbsp; From these three unions came fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.nbsp; nbsp; Marvin was president of the Grafton School District Board of Education for fourteen years. He was also a charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church serving on the churchrsquo;s first steering committee and numerous committees through his lifetime.nbsp; Marvin is also a lifetime member of Rose Harms Post 355. In his younger days he enjoyed golf and dancing. nbsp; Preceding Marvin in death are his parents Armond and Ida wives Dorothy and Beraldine brothers Percy Roy (Carrie) and Earl (Ann) and sister Larraine.nbsp; He is survived by his sister-in-law Ann and the rest of his extended family. nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday March 28th at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Avenue Grafton. Pastor Paul Bulgerin will officiate the service. nbsp;Visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 12:00 noon.nbsp; He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Woodlawn Cemetery Grafton.nbsp;In lieu of flowers a donation to Grace Lutheran Church of Grafton would be appreciated.nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;br /Service:br /pFuneral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday March 28th at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Avenue Grafton./pbr /Cemetery:br /pWoodlawn Cemetery Grafton/p
