Martin J. Ernst Marty Mr. Martin Ernst of Clover Valley Road in the Town of Fredonia passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday March 23 2006. He was 70 years old. Martin was born on August 26 1935 in the Town of Osceola son of Charles and Mary Kiersten Ernst. He was united in marriage with Katherine Krahn on April 27 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott. The couple settled in Kewaskum and moved to Clover Valley Road in 1964. Martin worked as a machinist most recently at Standard Machine in Saukville where he had been for 14 years. Mr. Ernst was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. He enjoyed traveling playing dominoes and sheepshead helping his son with the animals on the farm and spending time with his family. His yard was his pride and joy and he spent much time taking care of it. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Katherine their four children: Holly (Robert) Seibel of Eden Richard (special friend Becky) Ernst of Oostburg Paul Ernst of Fredonia and Christine (special friend Van) Ernst of Random Lake and three grandsons: James and Eric Seibel of Eden and Tyler Ernst of Oostburg. He is further survived by 1 brother David (Scarlett) Ernst of Sheboygan 3 sisters: Rose (Harold) Backhaus of Random Lake Shirley (Edward) Kirsch of Campbellsport and Beverly (Otto) Bartelt of Kewaskum mother-in-law Marian (the late Gerhard) Krahn of Plymouth sister- and brother-in law Roedell and William Wachter of Sheboygan nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents his father-in-law and an infant sister. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday March 26th at St. John's Lutheran Church. 824 Fredonia Ave. Fredonia. Rev. Robert Zick will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery the next morning. The family will receive visitors at the church on Sunday from 2-5PM.
