Marlene E. Kopacz (McKenney) James J. Kopacz Marlene was born in Menominee, Michigan on July 3, 1939, the daughter of Henry and Lillian McKenney. Marlene passed away peacefully with her husband of 62 years, James Kopacz, by her side on January 7, 2021. James J. Kopacz was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 23, 1937, the son of John and Francis Kopacz. Shortly following Marlene's passing, James passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021. They were married on February 1, 1958 and their love kept them together until the very end. Marlene and James are the beloved parents of Gregory (Karen) Kopacz, Dale (Lisa) Kopacz and Douglas (Diane) Kopacz. They are the cherished grandparents of Carl (Dawn) Kopacz, Kaila (Ryan) Miller, September (David) Casteel, Shawn Kopacz, Brittany Kopacz, Tom Kopacz, Ashley (Andy) Perego, and Christopher (Cassandra) Kopacz. Marlene and James are the proud great grandparents of Samuel Kopacz, Cooper and Weston Miller, Emelia Casteel and Autumn Perego. They are further survived by many other relatives and friends. Marlene and Jim were preceded in death by Marlene's siblings: Evelyn, Dorothy, Patricia, Skip, Harold, Ron, Bill and Eunice. They are survived by Marlene's sisters: Judy Schei and Peggy (Marvin) Harsvick and sister-in-law Della (Harold McKenney). Jim and Marlene were preceded in death by Jim's siblings: Donald, Robert and Carol. They are survived by Jim's brother John and sister-in-law Sandy (Robert Kopacz). A funeral service for Marlene and Jim will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 5:30 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Avenue Cedarburg, Wisconsin 53012. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 5:30 PM. Marlene and Jim will be laid to rest together during a private committal service the following day at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum in Milwaukee.
