Mark Jeffery Smith Sr., 67 of Random Lake, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was born September 9, 1954 in Manitowoc to Elmer "Sonny" and Jean Smith. He married Jane Block on June 28, 1975. Mark graduated from Port Washington High School in 1973 and later from Lakeland College in 2003 with a degree in marketing and business. He worked for Giddings & Lewis Tool and Dye, Midwest Communications and Bucyrus/Caterpillar Inc. He ran Weiler's Ballroom, managed Rocket 88 and was a professional D.J. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, shelling, going to many music concerts, watching wrestling and playing with his dogs. Mark will remain in the hearts of his wife Jane, two sons Mark (Valerie) Smith Jr. of Fredonia, Andrew Smith of Milwaukee and his daughter Lisa (Ryan) Stephanie of Plymouth; grandchildren Adam Esser, Autumn Smith, Austin Smith, Brianna Stephanie and Hayley Stephanie; siblings Jeff (Jill) Smith of Port Washington, and Chris (Karen) Smith of Saukville; brothers-in-law Ted (Joan) Block of Florida, Carl (Audrey) Block of Arizonia and Jim (Kim) Block of Oostburg; sister-in-law Carol (Roy) Rusch of Plymouth; uncles Jerry Wesolowski of West Bend and Gerald Smith of Illinois; He is further survived by his godchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and classmates and his devoted dog Bailey. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer "Sonny" Smith, mother Jean Smith-Karrels, stepfather Leo Karrels; siblings Richard (Jill) Smith, Sandy (Ron) Monty, Victoria (Mickey) Smith and Marie (Mike) Wood and his mother and father-in-law Ted and Grace Block. A Funeral Service will take place at 6:00pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 3:00PM until 5:45PM. Mark will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Washington.
