Obituary

Mark Brian Navis of Cedar Grove passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born February 5, 1971 as the second son of Wayne and Nancy (Claerbaut) Navis of Cedar Grove. While in high school, he was an outstanding athlete, competing on varsity for both football and wrestling all four years. Mark graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1989 and took a few farm classes at LTC.

Mark started dating the love of his life Mary (Uselding) freshman year of high school. They were together ever since and were married on October 9, 1993. Mark was a dairy farmer all of his life. Mark and Mary bought the family farm in 2003 and happily raised four children on the farm while teaching them all the life lessons a farm can offer. After 9/11, he decided to join the volunteer fire department and served on the Cedar Grove Fire Department for over 23 years. While his girls were in high school, he was the assistant softball coach. After selling the dairy cows in 2021, he continued raising steers and cash cropping along with his son, Matthew. He also worked full-time at Country Visions Co-op the last four years, driving truck and running the grain plant. When he wasn't working, he was helping somebody with something. He loved to fix things and spent hours looking up things on the internet to learn.

Mark is survived by his wife, Mary, and their four children: Mariah (Matthew) DeTrana of Kewaskum, Morgan Navis of Sheboygan, Maycie Navis (Nicholas Koenig) of Stevens Point and Matthew Navis of Cedar Grove as well as his grandson, Maximilian DeTrana. He is further survived by his parents, siblings: Greg (Anne) Navis of Cedar Grove, Kathy (Greg) Anzia of Belgium, Ryan (Cindy) Navis of Cedar Grove and Kari (Paul Hackel) Navis of Hobart as well as his father-in-law, Richard Uselding, and sisters-in-laws: Kathy (Bill) Deheck and Anne Uselding, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle Allan Claerbaut, mother-in-law Patricia Uselding, and nephew, Sean Anzia.

He was a devoted husband, supportive father, loyal friend and will be very deeply missed. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 County Hwy B, Belgium, from 10:00am until 1:45pm with a walkthrough by the fire department at 1:00pm.
