Mark loved life, his family and his country. The love for his family and country were apparent to all who knew him. Despite several mergers, he stayed employed for almost 40 years with the same business, now called Core & Main. Mark had a zest for life, his contagious smile and laugh were his calling card. Always upbeat and positive, Mark always put others first. He maintained his positive attitude even as he battled cancer. The courage and determination he displayed during his illness was an inspiration, and a source of strength to others.

As a husband, dad, son, friend, etc., Mark could always be counted on to be there for you. Whether antiquing with Denise, being a "bleacher dad" for his girls or just out having a good time with family and friends, Mark lived in that moment with you. Special memories were made spending time up north in the Rhinelander area boating, fishing, deer hunting, hanging out with friends or just sitting around the fire pit. He will be missed by all.

With much gratitude, Mark's family would like to acknowledge his medical caregivers:

Aurora St.Luke's Surgical Oncology and SICU Teams.

Aurora Medical Center Grafton:

Dr. Vasanth Siddalingaiah and Dr. Thomas Puetz – Gastroenterology.

Dr. Scott Maul – Oncology

Dr. Matthew Howenstein, Joel Thielke-PA, and the entire Interventional Radiology and Day Surgery Teams for their many, many, many times caring for him.

The Aurora Home Hospice Team including Nora, Katherine, Jill, Matt and especially Michelle for her expertise and gentle heart. We will never forget her kindness and support.

Dr. Norine Nazareth, who was his primary care physician for over 20 years and is especially dear to us and so loved by our entire family. When the Hospice team joined Mark's care, she did not bow out but rather stayed involved as an integral member guiding us through this journey. Our most sincere love and gratitude for her kindness, availability and many phone calls.
