Mark L. Allen, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, following a five-year struggle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

He was born on January 6, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents Joseph and Edna Allen. On February 14, 1988, Mark was united in marriage with Margaret Schneider.

Mark was a man of extraordinary and diverse creative talents. He was a true artisan whose artistic abilities were as varied as they were unique; he was a master of stained-glass work, wood bowl turning, wood carving, knitting, crochet, lace, and cross-stitch. His creative vision was unmistakable in every piece he created.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; and his best friends, Brian (Andi) Espinosa and Zach Espinosa. Mark was the "Proud Papa" to his grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Espinosa. He is further survived by Margaret’s large extended family, other relatives, and many friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Harvest Home Assisted Living - Grafton (Activities Program): Located at 703 17th Ave, Grafton, WI 53024. This program provided vital encouragement for Mark, fostering his passion for art projects until the very end.

Wisconsin Humane Society - Ozaukee: Supporting the mission Margaret and Mark so highly valued.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Harvest Home Assisted Living, Lily Hospice, and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Ozaukee for the wonderful care and support they provided to Mark and his family during the dementia journey.

Per Mark’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Instead, the family will be hosting a celebration of his life this coming summer.
