Marion J. Matthews Marion Matthews age 87 years of 535 W. Jefferson St. Port Washington passed away on Wednesday January 13 2010 at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington where she had been a resident for the past several days. She was born January 9 1923 in Green Bay daughter of Alwin and Elizabeth Jacobs Meyer.nbsp; On March 22 1945 Marion was united in marriage to Harold Matthews at the Moravian Church in Green Bay.nbsp; Marion worked as a registered nurse at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington and also at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg retiring in 1985 after 16 years.nbsp; She was a member of First Congregational Church in Port Washington VFW 5373 Auxiliary past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star charter member of Port Washington Jaycettes and enjoyed dancing golfing bowling and card playing especially duplicate bridge. She is survived by her husband Harold her daughter Kay Lynn (the late Richard) Martin of Madison her son Kenneth (Nora) Matthews of Port Washington daughter in law Laurie (Gordon) Zoch of Fond du Lac 8 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and her sister Ruth Ann (Jerome) Gerritts of Green Bay.nbsp; She was preceded in death by her son David and two sisters.nbsp; Funeral Saturday January 16 12 noon at First Congregational Church 131 N.
