Marilyn Zefran (nee Kultgen), of Campbellsport, formerly of Vancouver, WA, passed away in the evening hours of Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Anita's Gardens in Port Washington. She was 76 years old.
Marilyn was born on the family farm in Port Washington, daughter of Nicholas Raymond Kultgen and Christine Deppiesse Kultgen Burton. She grew up in Port Washington, graduating from Port Washington High School with the class of 1961. After high school, Marilyn moved to San Antonio, TX, where she met her husband, Lee Baxter. After Lee was discharged from the Air Force, the couple moved to Vancouver, WA. Lee preceded her in death in 2001. On May 8, 2004, she married Dennis Zefran at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Michael's, WI.
Marilyn was a member of St. Michael's Parish, the Catholic Daughters, and the Red Hat Society. She was a social butterfly and loved talking to and meeting new people. She enjoyed volunteering at Beechwood Rest Home, swimming, reading, gardening, traveling and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband Dennis of Campbellsport, her siblings Raymond (Geraldine) Kultgen and Richard (Susie) Kultgen both of Port Washington, Diane (Harold) Tackes of Waubeka, and bother-in-law Joe Schuessler of Fredonia. She will always be remembered as sweet "Auntie M" to all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Baxter, half-sister Darlene Burton Schuessler, and her parents.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19th at 1 PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 8883 Forest View Road, Kewaskum. Father Neil Zinthefer will preside over the Mass. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Thursday, July 19th, from 11 AM until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
