Mrs. Marietta Cianciolo-Carpenter of Grafton, formerly of Bayside and Fox Point, passed away at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee on Sunday, August 4, 2019. She was 67 years old.
Marietta was born in Milwaukee on June 27, 1952, daughter of August F. and Mary Ann Busalacchi Cianciolo. She attended local schools and graduated from Nicolet High School, Class of 1971, before continuing on to cosmetology and travel agent courses.
In 1974 she married Michael Weidenbaum; the couple had three children. Marietta worked as a travel agent for almost twenty years, eventually owning her own agency… Planet Earth Travel. She also managed "The Pig N' Whistle" restaurant, where she discovered her love of cooking.
On February 1, 2001, Marietta married her best friend, Joey Carpenter. The couple has shared a life full of love, laughter, travel and cooking, and together became the catering team of Heavenly Creations. They moved to Grafton in 2016.
Mrs. Cianciolo-Carpenter was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Grafton. She cherished being a mother and grandmother, and enjoyed arts & crafts, traveling with her family, swimming, occasional trips to the casino, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and making wonderful things for people to eat… especially Christmas cookies.
Survivors include her husband Joey Carpenter of Grafton, her three children: Aaron (Jill) Weidenbaum of Muskego, Gabe (Kristen) Weidenbaum of Fox Point and Rachel (Brandon) Schmidt of Grafton, and grandchildren Mia, Max, Madison, Norah and Benjamin. She is further survived by grand-dogs Bogle, Brutus and Brandy, former husband Michael Weidenbaum, other family and many friends. Marietta was preceded in death by her parents August and Mary Ann Cianciolo.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 8th, from 3-4:45PM at St. Joseph Parish, 1619 W. Washington St., Grafton, with Mass following at 5PM. Father Michael Barrett will preside. Marietta will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery the following day.
